# Otto Group and Other German Companies Call for a Clear Path to Climate Neutrality - Otto International
October 12, 2021
We are very proud to announce that the 2º Foundation, a broad alliance of German businesses from all key sectors of the economy (of which the Otto Group is a member and Group chairman Dr Michael Otto is president), has officially called for the next German government to form a cross-sector climate policy with the explicit aim of reaching the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.
In the aftermath of the German federal election, political parties are now beginning detailed exploratory talks in order to determine the next governing coalition. With their appeal, the 69 businesses of the 2º Foundation — which includes several internationally recognised enterprises — call upon the parties involved in the negotiations to put Germany on a clear and reliable path to climate neutrality.
