Otto International is seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to lead and spearhead the strategy and operations for our global business development initiatives. This critical role will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Otto International through strategic business development efforts. The Business Development Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future by identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
How will you make a difference?
- Drive & execute Oi Business Development vision and strategy.
- Leading & driving established and new revenue streams & channels.
- Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities, strategic partnerships, and new/emerging market entry strategies.
- Building strategic relationships with potential business partners.
- Provide insight and analysis on data & market insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize business performance.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of business agreements, contracts, and partnerships.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to potential team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of business development initiatives.
- Driving consistent sales growth over time and gaining market share through bringing on new customers.
- Monitor and stay abreast of regional conditions and competitive intelligence. Effectively communicate findings across the organization.
Who we are looking for?
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of successful experience in business development, including a strong track record of accomplishments in M&A’s, strategic partnerships and new market entry.
- Deep understanding of the supply chain industry, including knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Experience specifically in apparel/shoes/home/hardgoods is highly preferred.
- Must possess a strategic, data driven & analytical mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in providing strategic guidance, mentoring and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization, with exposure to international markets and diverse cultures. Understanding of European and North American markets is advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, taking ownership and driving initiatives forward.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills in English with the ability to deliver polished sales presentations and effectively communicate complex ideas to various stakeholders.
