Otto International is seeking out an experienced Senior Merchandise Manager -Household Electric to join our Shanghai Office. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for leading an effective team to deliver high standards of service to the customers and to balance the customers’ requirements with the company policies and supplier’s resources and to achieve corporate targets in terms of turnover, delivery performance, sampling, claim ratio and quick lead-times by enhancing the team’s productivity and efficiency.

General
• Head of Merchandising Team & Quality Engineer Team
• Taking care of the service and performance of Merchandisers and Quality Engineers
• Solve the problems for cross department/company matters
• Team building and motivation
• Product knowledge training and business skill/culture training
• Accompany with German buying team and quality team for business meetings with suppliers, and taking care of their local trips arrangements
New Projects Management
• New product sourcing according to the buying team’s guide
• Supervising the new product development processing
• Co-operate with 3rd labs
• Supervising the testing and approval processing
Order and Delivery Management
• Supervising the Merchandising team for daily follow-up (Order, Delivery, Inspections etc.)_
• Work closely with buying team for stock & sell-out analyzation
• Co-operate with supply chain management team for logistics matters
• Taking care of the business development in general with buying team
• Price term and payment negotiation
• Daily system and data analyzation
Quality Management
• Looking after the team for its daily communication with German Quality Managers and 3rd Labs
• Quality problem solving when occur and improvement follow-up
• Claim handling and settlement with vendors
• Work closely with Quality Control Dept. for inspections related issues and problems
• Taking care of the performance of customer return, call rate and customer reviews
Supplier Management
• Sourcing new and potential suppliers according to business development
• Negotiation with suppliers for purchasing terms and conditions
• Supplier performance reviews and vendor frame maintaining according to HQ
• Strategic supplier partnership maintaining
Who are we looking for?
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Merchandising field and at least 6-7 years’ managerial experience inclusive
• Deep & wide range of knowledge of the Electrical Home Appliance (MDA & SDA), particularly for EU market for private label (OEM)
• Well understand the European Product & Quality requirement for Electrical Home Appliance . ( For example EEI, GS/CE, EMC ,LVD,LFGB…) .
• Familiar with Asian/China Supplying Chain & Market of the required product category .
• Well understanding of the distance trading particularly in B2C /Online market for EU market (preferable in German market).
• Fluent experience on personal communications, product development, supplier management and negotiation skills
