“You cannot always control what is on the outside, but you can always control what goes on inside!”
With the current coronavirus crisis, it’s not always easy to stay grounded and focus on both our mental health and physical health. To support wellbeing, our colleague, Belgin Kaptanoglu, took the initiative to start running virtual yoga sessions for everyone at Otto International.
As a certified yoga instructor, Belgin has been regularly conducting yoga practices in our Istanbul office. On Tuesday, April 7th, she ran a virtual session for colleagues around the globe, for the first time.
The theme of the first practice was “adapting” – which was well chosen to fit with the current uncertain and difficult situation.
During the practice, Belgin asked all the participants to stand in a Tree Pose. This pose stands for balance and centering – something very important for being able to adapt to ever-changing situations.
In total, we had 128 participating colleagues across 13 OI offices in Bangkok, Dehli, Dhaka, Dongguan, Hamburg, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Izmir, Jakarta, Mumbai, Shanghai, Qingdao!
We are looking forward to the second practice with the theme “to unite”.
